Choosing a college often seems like the biggest, most important decision teens and parents will make together. But what happens when your teen is only 13 or 14 – or not even a teenager yet at all? Early college is becoming more common, but it is still a major leap, and it can be hard to know if it is right for your student and your family. Even once the choice has been made to move forward, being an early college student can be overwhelming, scary, and sometimes lonely.
Madeline Goodwin started college the day after her 13th birthday. Since then, she has met and spoken with many other early college students, and provides counseling for families considering the option. She can help you decide if it’s the right option for your family, and be a mentor for your young college student!
